The Hinman Hiking Trail is located to the east of Lake Parker. It starts in West Glover village, follows a section of the old Hinman Road, goes through the historic Parker Settlement area, and ends up at the West Glover Cemetery. It is part of the Lake Parker Loop walking trail around Lake Parker that allows people to walk off of Parker Road and connect to the Lake Parker walking path at the south end and southwest side of the lake.
Please note that the signs referenced below are not yet placed — coming soon!
The Route and the History
There are signs along the path, shown here starting at the West Glover Church and going south.
First there are a couple of historical posters, one at the church parking lot and one nearby at the EO Randall General Store:

From the church parking lot, turn right towards Parker Road and then left onto Parker Road. Follow for .3 miles and cross the small bridge on the left to the hayfield. The next sign is there:
After going around the edge of the hay field, through the treeline, and along the edge of the corn field, the next sign marks the start of a portion of the Hinman Road.
Further along, you’ll come to the Parker Settlement:

About a half mile further, you’ll come to the intersection of Borland Road and Cemetery Loop. Continuing straight, you’ll reach the West Glover Cemetery.
