Tunbridge trails debate leads to larger issue of landowner control in Vermont

The owners of a former dairy farm say they have permitted use of the land by the public for a variety of recreational activities, including snowmachines, hiking, skiing and snowshoeing, but they are opposing the use of wheeled vehicles. The Glover Trails Committee has been discussing these same things; our opinion is that the landowner that is permitting use of trails on their property has the right to specify the location, uses, and restrictions for that trail. See the landowners page on this website: Landowners
